Hi Reader,

We all know the mental load of feeding kids goes way up in the summer time. More snacks. More food requests. More meals at home. More random kids at your house needing to be fed.

Before you add another thing to your mental to-do list, save this email.

(I swear yesterday alone I added 19 things to my to-do list. Sign the camp forms. Make camp carpool plans. Get a light bulb for the closet, buy goggles, call the plumber. OK, I will spare you the rest but I know you feel this in your soul!)

I rounded up some of my favorite summer-friendly recipes – from easy breakfasts and snacks to simple meals and treats – to make feeding your family feel a little easier over the next few months.

Let's dive in.

  1. Banana Oatmeal Bars (good for all meals or snacks!)
  2. Starbucks Copycat Cottage Cheese Egg Bites (but a more picky eater-friendly version!)
  3. Air Fryer “Boiled” Eggs (foolproof way to make them)

What I'm Loving This Week

Here are three things that saved me during our first week of summer:

  • This calendar acts as our hub for allllll the things – chores, activities, etc.
  • Our home phone allows the kids to call their friends without stealing my phone or saying, “can you text their mom now?? What did she say? Did she answer yet?”
  • My BFF who cleans up without having to be asked a second time. 😉

Oh and don’t go thinking I’m making homemade meals all day every day!! I’m 10000% not. You don’t have to either.

Last night we had frozen meatballs that I microwaved and put on rolls to make little meatball sandwiches, with cucumbers and strawberries on the side.

Send me your summer survival tips, please! 😊

Hi Reader, After spending $12 on two frozen treats (HOW) at the pool yesterday, I thought it was a good time to refresh our memories on some store bought summertime treats to keep in the freezer! There’s a few new products out this summer, and some old favorites. These are all ones that are on the healthier side, as far as treats go! A lot of the no sugar added popsicle boxes look incredibly similar to the ones that DO have a lot of sugar added, so just make sure to check the label when you...

Fudgy Brownie Bites

Hi Reader, You know what I’ve missed while my kids have been in school all year? I’ve missed walking around the house picking pillows up off the floor all day. I’ve missed the steady hum of my kids arguing with each other that I can hear from any part of the house. I’ve missed making food and cleaning up the kitchen around the clock. I’ve missed being asked, “can we go somewhere fun now” at 7:30 in the morning. Lucky me, I’m about to have ALL of that, and more! Okay you know I love my kids a...

Chocolate Smoothie with Chocolat Shavings and Paper Straw in a Glass Jar Mug

Hi Reader, Maycember, Mayhem, May-we-all-take-a-nap-now? I know you’re probably running around with your head barely attached to your body – so I just want to share a few snack box ideas with you to solve the “mooommmm I’m hungryyyy” problem while you’re running from one event to the next. Here’s some snack boxes I’ve packed, and a couple of my favorite breakfast smoothie recipes, too! Healthy and Filling Snackboxes I like to include some fiber + protein to keep them full. Beyond that,...
