Hi Reader, Mornings are… a lot. Last week, my kids managed to spill so much milk at breakfast – multiple days in a row – that I briefly considered calling our insurance company to submit a dairy related flood claim. And while I was on my hands and knees trying to mop up dairy carnage at 7 a.m., I thought, why don't I just give them straws and let them go at it? My floors are pretty clean. (Side note: they are actually REALLY clean. I splurged on a robot mop-vac on Prime Day and it's the best best best. I keep stalking it to watch the price because it has radically changed my life – and it's finally on sale for $549.99 from $899.99!) But in case you also have been having chaotic mornings, I wanted to share some of my favorite healthy breakfasts today that don't involve scrubbing milk off your baseboards. Breakfasts From Mama Knows Sheet Pan PancakesThis recipe is amazing because it’s easy to prep ahead, freeze, and serve these anytime for a fast and protein-packed breakfast your kids will request again and again. I love to make it on a weekend and then freeze the extras for weekdays! Cottage Cheese Egg BitesI LOVE prepping a batch of these egg bites and warming a few up for breakfast in the morning. Emilia has been known to eat these on the walk to school, and I feel great knowing she's packing in some great protein and nutrients to fuel her day. Cinnamon Roll Baked Oatmeal 🥣Baked oatmeal for the win! It’s extra delicious, my kids prefer it over regular oatmeal, and I can pop it in the oven while we get ready for school. Or better yet – just serve as leftovers from the weekend! Air Fryer Eggs 🥚Hard boiled eggs…but without the actual boiling step. It’s quick, requires almost zero effort, and makes a great quick breakfast, snack, or protein in a lunchbox! Healthy Pumpkin Pancakes 🥞Ready for fall? Me too! These pumpkin pancakes are simple and delicious – be sure to make enough for yourself, too!

Hi Reader, There are very few moments when I’m genuinely scared of my children…but there’s one that haunts me. It’s the after-sports hangry meltdown. They’re the dangerous combination of tired and ravenous, where they’re SO hungry that they get feral. Like I’m pretty sure I’ve been hissed at. It goes without saying that I try to avoid this at all costs because once they go to that place…it’s like climbing a mountain to bring them back. And it’s not their fault, I don’t blame them! I can’t...
Hi Reader, Last week something happened to my neighbor that reminded me of the time the police came to my house when things went wrong with my pet sitter... 🫣 And it also reminded me why we should always trust our instincts when it comes to keeping our kids (and houses) safe! I hate to be cryptic but want to protect everyone’s privacy. What I will say is this: we need to have an “out” ready for whenever we don’t feel comfortable with someone caring for our kids (or even pets). Because when...
Hi Reader, Last week I casually threw an Ina Garten recipe on the menu that just so happened to take 2+ hours to cook. WHY WOULD I DO SUCH A THING. We are not repeating that mistake this week. No thanks. There’s so much to squeeze in after school! Here’s the kicker… my kids both hated it. I know you saw that coming from a mile away!! This week we’re gonna make things nice and easy. But that can mean healthy, too. So I wanted to share a few tips on how I make easy & healthy weeknight dinners...
