Your top 10 picks from yesterday (still marked down!)

Hi Reader,

Before Prime Day ends, I wanted to share the MKN community's favorite items!

Most Popular 🌟

10. We all love independent play!! This is basically the Nugget's more affordable cousin.

9. If your kids listen to music, podcasts, or audiobooks, I will never stop recommending this. We've used ours almost daily for years and it's still one of the best purchases we've made.

8. Apparently a lot of us are tired of wet bathroom floors. 😅 These are a mom's best friend.

7. I own this everyday skirt in an embarrassing number of colors. It's comfortable, flattering, and the price makes it very hard to justify buying the expensive version.

6. My current fave lunchbox for Emilia. Durable, leak-resistant, and kid-approved.

5. This lets the kids call and text without handing over a smartphone!

4. If brushing your child's hair feels like a daily battle, this might save your sanity.

3. Water bottle that is worth the hype! (A few colors are still on sale!)

2. The hand sanitizer that somehow became the Stanley cup of hand sanitizers. Emilia is obsessed with these and apparently a lot of your kids are too.

(And grab this to attach it to their backpack!)

And the #1 most-clicked item...

  1. Is it worth it? 1000000% yes. Every morning I wake up to clean floors without doing a thing. I genuinely don't know how I lived without it.

A Few More Summer Kid Deals 🌟

  1. Emilia's favorite when it's too hot to play outside
  2. Face sunscreen that feels so good going on (no complaining!)
  3. Emilia's pool bag that she loves!
  4. Kids Kindle to keep up the reading habit over summer
  5. What we've been playing at dinner
  6. We've been cooking most of our summer meals with this!
  7. For organizing all the craft supply chaos
  8. Super affordable swimsuit Emilia is loving

GRILLING WITHOUT THE GRILL

I'm not the grill operator in our house, so I found this hack that makes chicken crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, without using the grill!

I made it last night, and served it with roasted sweet potato wedges and mac and cheese! (If you don't have an air fryer, I really couldn't imagine living without it!)

  • 1¼ pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • ¾ - 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika

If using table salt, reduce to ½ teaspoon.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
  2. Pat chicken thighs dry.
  3. Toss with olive oil.
  4. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, onion powder, and paprika, coating both sides evenly.
  5. Air fry at 400°F for 10–14 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the thickest part reaches 165°F.

Hi Reader, A mom in Emilia’s grade group chat sent around this article a few days ago about the UK’s plans to ban under-16s from social media, following in Australia’s footsteps. The U.S. has no ban plans, but is considering legislation to force social media companies to do more to protect kids and teens. Will any of these policy actions make kids safer or happier? I’m not sure that they will directly. It’s fairly easy to get around age verification checks, or seek out alternate social media...

Hi Reader, Thank you so much for all of the replies with Father’s Day gift ideas! It’s only a week away now, so if you’re still looking for ideas, this is for you! A few of these ideas are things Ben loves, but most of them came from the MKN community. ♥️ What I’m getting Ben – he already has two, but I once listened to him and a random guy at the coffee shop talk about their shared love for these for 10 minutes, so I think his collection can never be big enough! For outdoor enthusiasts and...
