Things I own, love, and would buy again immediately

Hi Reader,

I love a good deal, and there's some great ones today and tomorrow on my favorite items that I wanted to share with you!

If you shop from any of my links, thank you! It makes a big difference to MKN and even if you don't buy something I share, and you buy something else you need, I still get credit if you accessed Amazon from my links. <3

My Favorite Purchase of the Decade

If cleaning is the bane of your existence, you're gonna want to hear this.

While we are in bed, the entire first floor gets vacuumed AND mopped.

Not only that, but it maps out your floor expertly to avoid obstacles (like cords), and empties the vacuum bag itself!

My floors are spotless every single day and I barely do anything.

I researched a ton before choosing this specific model and I couldn't be happier. It's at a great price today... Check it out!

(P.S. – if you don't care as much about the auto-mopping feature, I also have this one that I keep upstairs!!)

I Paid Full Price... But You Don't Have To

  • Everyone adores these pillows!
  • If you have kids that can never keep the bath water contained, you need this. No more soggy bathmats or soaking wet floors! Huge game changer in our house.
  • This WiFi house phone is keeping cell phones out of my kids hands until we're ready!
  • The cutest and comfiest skort that I wear multiple times per week is only $23 today!! I have vita pink, true navy, green palm court, and today I'm buying mauve!

Things Your Kids Will Love (That You Won't Hate)

  • We never leave the house for a trip without this. It's perfect for screen-free entertainment at home or on the go – it's my kids' most used item! They use it nightly before bed, too.
  • These hand sanitizers are Emilia’s current obsession, and I get it – they’re basically the Stanley cup of hand sanitizers!
  • The ONLY BRUSH Emilia allows near her head and believe me we've tried them all. This one has eliminated hair brushing tears in our house.
  • My kids have hit that age where they like listening to music in their rooms – but of course they never want to listen to the same thing! We gave them their own Kids' Alexas last year and they've been a hit!
  • The nugget's more affordable cousin that your kids will use for years and years

Worth it splurges

Finds Under $25!

PB Chocolate Chip S'mores Cookies

You'll never believe these are healthier than a traditional cookie but they have no butter or oil – yet my family absolutely crushed them and asked for more!

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt (I used fine sea salt)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup creamy natural peanut butter, unsalted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 Tbsp mini chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup mini marshmallows
  • 12 graham cracker small rectangles (3 full graham cracker sheets, broken into 4 pieces)
  • Flaky sea salt for topping

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Put mini marshmallows in freezer (helps keep them from melting in baking)
  3. Whisk together oats, flour, salt, baking powder, and brown sugar.
  4. Stir in peanut butter, egg, and vanilla until a soft dough forms.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and mini marshmallows, saving a few of each for topping.
  6. Arrange graham cracker squares on the baking sheet.
  7. Scoop about 1½ Tbsp dough onto each graham cracker square and gently flatten.
  8. Bake for 9–10 minutes.
  9. Remove from the oven and quickly press a few remaining marshmallows and a couple chocolate chips onto the tops.
  10. Return to the oven for another 1–2 minutes, until the cookies are just set around the edges.
  11. Add a sprinkle of flaky sea salt over the tops.
  12. Cool on the pan for at least 10 minutes.

Hi Reader, Before Prime Day ends, I wanted to share the MKN community's favorite items! Most Popular 🌟 10. We all love independent play!! This is basically the Nugget's more affordable cousin. 9. If your kids listen to music, podcasts, or audiobooks, I will never stop recommending this. We've used ours almost daily for years and it's still one of the best purchases we've made. 8. Apparently a lot of us are tired of wet bathroom floors. 😅 These are a mom's best friend. 7. I own this everyday...

Hi Reader, A mom in Emilia’s grade group chat sent around this article a few days ago about the UK’s plans to ban under-16s from social media, following in Australia’s footsteps. The U.S. has no ban plans, but is considering legislation to force social media companies to do more to protect kids and teens. Will any of these policy actions make kids safer or happier? I’m not sure that they will directly. It’s fairly easy to get around age verification checks, or seek out alternate social media...

Hi Reader, Thank you so much for all of the replies with Father’s Day gift ideas! It’s only a week away now, so if you’re still looking for ideas, this is for you! A few of these ideas are things Ben loves, but most of them came from the MKN community. ♥️ What I’m getting Ben – he already has two, but I once listened to him and a random guy at the coffee shop talk about their shared love for these for 10 minutes, so I think his collection can never be big enough! For outdoor enthusiasts and...
