A few important notes:
OK, there ARE some good deals...👀 I know, I know – there are approximately 400 amazon sales a year now. 😂 So I went through this one and pulled out the things I actually think are worth it: products I already own and love, things that make life easier, and a few bigger splurges that are at really good prices right now. Here’s what made the cut: THINGS THAT MAKE LIFE EASIER1. We’ve used these lunchboxes for years – they don’t leak and they’re under $20 today! (Or the big kid version is here!) 2. Our all-time favorite screen-free way to keep kids entertained at home or in the car. 3. Turn basically anything in your house on or off from your phone. Once you have these, you find SO many uses for them. 4. Wet soccer cleats or sneakers that need to be worn again tomorrow? This is genius. 5. Music, alarms, audiobooks – and best of all, you can talk to the kids without yelling across the house. 6. These are popular for a reason – my kids love them, they don’t leak, and this is a really good price! 7. If you have a tween girl in your life, you already know the Touchland obsession is REAL. This is the best deal (and three cheers for clean hands)! 🙌 8. If you've been wanting an Apple Watch for your kid but have been putting it off, this is a great deal! SOMETHING FOR YOU1. I’m getting this because I want my very thick hair dry FAST. If you want the whole blowout/styling situation, the FlexStyle is majorly marked down too! 2. If your hair has been feeling dry, fried or just generally like it needs some help, this is a GOOD one. 3. This is what I use to get my hair smooth and shiny instead of big and frizzy when I blow it out. 4. If you love Lululemon Aligns but do not love paying $100 for leggings, these are SO similar for a fraction of the price. 😍 5. I know multiple people who have these and LOVE them – and they’re a really good deal today. I need to snag some to replace our gnarly old ones! 6. I use these every few days and they are amazing – my skin feels so soft and looks noticeably brighter afterward. WORTH THE SPLURGE1. Imagine just…not being the person who vacuums and mops the floors anymore. 😂 This does BOTH. 2. If you’ve been thinking about getting a Peloton, this is a GOOD time to do it. Mine is still going strong 8 years in. That's like $13 a month...worth it!! 3. I’ve had my Vitamix for years and use it constantly – it will blend basically anything you throw at it. 4. The perfect compromise between kids wanting screens, and you wanting them to move – so good! As a note, I'll pop back into your inbox tomorrow if I find any other worthwhile deals. (Unless you've opted out of sale emails, then you'll just hear from me next Monday, like normal.) Have a great week, P.S. Hi Reader, Food dyes have been all over the news—and if you’re a parent, you might be wondering if you’re supposed to start checking every ingredient label for Red 40. The FDA is moving to phase synthetic food dyes out of the U.S. food supply, citing concerns about children’s health. But some of the claims being made about dyes go quite a bit further than the research does. So let’s separate what we actually know from what makes a good headline. Are synthetic food dyes harmful? Most children...
Hi Reader, When you were a kid, did you turn your pajamas inside out when you wanted to have a snow day? I’m really not sure why we felt those two things would be related. We were somehow sending a message to the universe by showing it the insides of our sleepwear. But I’ve decided to take that same type of logic and hope that if we do lots of baking with pumpkin, then fall weather will finally come to Texas. 🙏 Let’s show the universe our open cans of pumpkin and maybe the weather will dip...
Hi Reader, School = germs. 😭 The moment you put groups of kids together indoors, the germs take hold. And really, it’s no surprise, because kids are gross. They are constantly alternating between touching every surface they walk past, and putting their fingers in their noses and mouths. It’s like they’re subconsciously cataloguing every possible strain of bacteria available via handrail before age 12. (I can’t be the only one who has been saying for years on repeat, “STOP TOUCHING...
